We are delighted to announce the appointment of James Fawcett as General Manager of MSS South, based at our newly opened Derby location. James brings over a decade of experience in the materials testing industry, having started his career in 2013 as a Site Technician before progressing through a series of senior positions, including Senior Technician, Field Services Manager, Contracts Manager, and, most recently, Operations Manager.
Throughout his career, James has earned a strong reputation as a hands-on leader with a deep understanding of the asphalt, concrete, and earthworks sectors. He has supported clients on major infrastructure projects across the UK, combining technical expertise with a commitment to quality and collaboration.
Speaking about his appointment, James said:

James’s appointment comes at an exciting time for MSS, as the company continues to expand its national presence with the opening of its new Derby office, strengthening its ability to deliver reliable, high-quality materials testing services to clients throughout the Midlands and southern regions.
