We offer a range of site and surfacing investigation and validation services, including in-situ testing and UKAS accredited testing across Scotland, the North, Midlands and Southern England, producing high quality data to allow our clients to deliver their projects.
Our concrete tests ensure the quality, durability, and safety of concrete used in construction projects.
Determines the compressive strength of concrete specimens by applying a compressive load until failure. This test is usually conducted on cylindrical or cube-shaped specimens at various ages (e.g. 7 days, 28 days) to assess the concrete’s strength development over time.
Determines the workability or consistency of freshly mixed concrete by measuring the slump, which is the vertical settlement of a cone-shaped concrete sample after it is subjected to a specific type of compaction. This test provides insights into the ease of placement and compaction of concrete.
Measures the air content of concrete to assess its resistance to freezing and thawing cycles and its ability to withstand potential damage due to entrapped air. This test is commonly conducted using pressure meters or volumetric methods.
